ECI involvement smooths the way for an extensive, live environment office refurbishment.

Our Auckland Projects & Interiors team refurbished Building 1 at The Warehouse Group’s North Shore campus, refreshing and reconfiguring the space and upgrading the services to the latest standards.

We took part in a 12-month ECI process before we started on site, advising on methodology, buildability, health & safety, cost planning and on the sustainability and availability of building materials. The ECI period got the project off to a great start, giving the client confidence that we could deliver a modern working environment for their staff without too much disruption.

We completed the work in three stages, including a full strip-out of the 9,000sqm offices and the installation of suspended ceilings, floor finishes, meeting room partitions, a staff gym, commercial kitchen and café, and an extensive services upgrade.

In the central atrium we added new stairs, replaced the skylight and glass balustrades, and installed new fixtures and fittings with extensive use of natural timber finishes to reflect The Warehouse Group’s sustainability focus. We also built a new glass and ACM-clad colonnade leading up to the main entrance.

We worked closely with client and council to make The Warehouse team’s move back into their revamped offices as seamless as possible. The client was pleased with the high-quality transformation we achieved in just 16 months.
